Maniac Records' seventh release is the most recent album from Ian McLagan & the Bump Band: That's Don Harvey on drums, Mark Andes on bass & vocals, 'Scrappy' Jud Newcomb on guitar & vocals, and Ian 'Mac' McLagan on vocals, piano and Hammond B3. Produced, engineered and written by Mac, they are a band of producers, writers and players. Patty Griffin graces several tracks with her soulful singing, and she and the Tosca Strings add their moving prescence to 'When The Crying Is Over.'

 

Spiritual Boy MRCD 0006
The first Maniac Racords release to get worldwide attention, this collection of some of Ronnie Lane's finest songs was recorded by Ian McLagan & the Bump Band to honour the great man, and released on what would have been his 60th birthday on April 1st, 2006. It got rave reviews from Rolling Stone, Mojo, Uncut & No Depression and all this without even an independant label to help it get across. Here Comes Trouble MRCD 0005
This is Ian McLagan's first solo album 'Troublemaker' with seven extra tracks that have never previously been released, a total of seventeen performances that will knock your socks off. Pete Townshend's 'Pictures Of Lily' features Ronnie Wood as 'Dad', and the only studio recording ever released by the New Barbarians: Keith Richard, Ronnie Wood, Zigaboo Modeliste, Stanley Clarke, Bobby Keys and Ian McLagan on a fantastic unedited twelve minute take of reggae classic 'Truly'.

The Bump Band's first live CD comprises eleven tracks that were recorded 'live' on the radio at the KUT studios in Austin, Texas that brings the experience of listening to this great band performing live into your living room. If you've never seen or heard them play their Thursday night happy hour at the Lucky Lounge in Austin, here's your chance. 'Scrappy' Jud Newcomb, Mark 'Mandez' Andes, Don 'DonDon' Harvey and Ian 'Mac' McLagan lay it down for your aural pleasure like nobody else can. The Bump Band Rules! Rise & Shine! MRCD 0003
This was the first Bump Band album Mac produced at his Laughing Dogs studio near Austin Texas and like most of his recordings it's dedicated to his muse, Kim McLagan. Rel
eased in 2004, the Bump Band had the double thrust of Gurf Morlix and 'Scrappy' Jud Newcomb on guitars & vocals, George Reiff, bass & vocals; Don Harvey, drums; Ian McLagan, keyboards & vocals; and Patty Griffin adding her sweet soulful vocals.

 

Bump In The Night MRCD 0002
Though it was Mac's second solo album, it's also the first Bump Band record, as the band was formed prior to this taping. Johnny Lee Schell on guitars & vocals, Ray Ohara on bass, Ricky Fataar on drums, and Mac mostly on rhythm guitar. Bonnie Raitt and Renee Geyer both recorded albums with the Bump Band after they heard the magic. All three albums were recorded at the Shangri-La studio made famous by The Band's movie, 'The Last Waltz' This album rocks, and features 'Little Girl', 'Judy Judy Judy', 'Boy's Gonna Get It' and the soulful 'So Lucky.'

 

Best of British MRCD 0001
This was the first album Ian McLagan recorded after moving to Austin Texas in 1994. Produced by Gurf Morlix at Arlyn Studios, it was the first Texas Bump Band album, which then consisted of Don Harvey on drums, 'Scrappy' Jud Newcomb on guitars & vocals, Sarah Brown on bass & vocals, Gurf on guitars & vocals, and Mac on Hammond B3, pianos, guitars & vocals. Ronnie Wood added guitars, to 'This Time', and sang on 'Hello Old Friend', Mac's song for Ronnie Lane. And that's Billy Bragg singing with Mac on the title track, a song Mac wrote to his son, Lee.
